How Is the Test Done

1. You first begin by inserting the swab in the nostril of a patient. Then, push it further inside until you feel resistance, up to about 2-4 cm.
2. The next step involves rolling the swab around five times inside the nostrils to get the sample. Then, with the same swab, you will do the same for the other nostril.
3. Remove the swab from the nostril.  
4. Get the extraction tube and place it in the hole found in the kit
5. Carefully remove the sealing film that is on the extraction tube to keep it from spilling the liquid.
6. Put approximately 0.3ML of the extraction buffer in the extraction tube and dip it in the swab. To get accurate results, roll the swab around seven times; press the head against the side and bottom of the tube.
7. For about a minute, let the swab remain in the extraction buffer. Then, while you wait, you can squeeze the tube from the outside.
8. The final step involves inserting the tip into the extraction tube.

How to Interpret the Results

If you see a line on the C mark, the result is negative, and it means that there was no SARS-CoV infection. However, you should retake the test in a few days as you cannot detect the virus during all its phases.
